When giving career advice, one must think of the several factors that are immensely important when attempting to advise someone. This includes: the career the individual has in mind, the skills/experience the individual has, and whether the jobs they have in mind is right for them. If none of these criteria are met, then advising should head more towards a different job (i.e. a job that is more realistic for the individual given the above mentioned factors). Secondly, when advising, the individual’s age and criminal records have to be taken into account as some jobs may not employ an individual on those basis’s (i.e. old age, heavy criminal record etc).
